Andy Brett

Andy worked in a previous life as a software engineer, but in 2015 started working on farms as a WWOOF’er. In 2017 he met the woman of his dreams on an Amtrak train and they now have a small farm on the Olympic Peninsula. He’s excited about the potential for OFN to help create diverse local food ecosystems (and get everyone to know their neighbors a little better).

Carisa Bohus

Carisa comes from immigrant stock (Hungarian and Irish) and her people are farmers. She has learned to love the tasty tied-to-the-season produce from brown earth where she lives, and where everyone else lives. Carisa knows that food is the heartbeat of life, and for her, supporting the Open Food Network is honoring all farmers everywhere to grow food to eat.

She has worked in food as a farmer, waitress, baker, farmers market vendor, grant writer, community organizer, and program manager. After helping to launch an online farmers market locally, Laura joined the Board of OFN to support the growth and expansion of the open-source software that is a powerful tool for strengthening local food systems.
